This first section was between Castellgalí and Abrera, which was carried out 17 km out of the total 28.7 km of the project. The work consisted of the construction of a new pipe to allow the transport of 378 l/s of brine, a highly corrosive fluid for which special measures must be taken in the selection of the materials used in its construction. One of the most important difficulties during the execution was the limitation of space to execute the work, with a layout embedded parallel to the Llobregat River, parallel to the old current collector, making it necessary and for a large part of the layout to break the existing collector and place a temporary HDPE by-pass to keep the current collector in service while the work was being carried out.
OUR CHALLENGE
In 2018, IPLAN participated in Technical-Legal Assistance in the Expropriation procedure for the Catalan Water Agency for section 1 of the project (9 municipalities and more than 300 affected farms). The procedure, in accordance with its legal deadlines, ended in September 2019.
POSITIVE IMPACT
The technical and legal team of the IPLAN Consulting Department carried out all phases of the expropriation procedure: from fieldwork, detection of Project errors and purification of the List of Affected Assets and Rights (RBDA) to the Management's appraisal sheets, to the preparation of Prior Records and Pre-Occupation Acts.
Demos forma al futuro juntos.
