SHUWEIHAT (OR IWP)

Develop civil engineering for the tender for a new reverse osmosis desalination plant (S4 RO Plant) with a contract capacity of 70 MIGD, integrated into the existing Shuweihat complex. The main challenge was to define and measure at the supply level the civil works and associated facilities of a plant configured by operating groups, including drinking water storage tanks with a minimum capacity of one day per group, in accordance with the technical requirements established in the tender documentation.

The Shuweihat RO IWP project will make a significant contribution to strengthening water security in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, ensuring a reliable and sustainable supply of drinking water in a region with a high scarcity of natural water resources. The new plant will increase the resilience of the supply system in the face of population growth and climate change, supporting economic and industrial development through efficient production of desalinated water in accordance with the highest international standards.
