SWRO CASABLANCA, CW AND FACILITIES

Develop the basic tender engineering for a strategic desalination plant under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) regime, with a final capacity of up to 300 million m³/year, guaranteeing the technical, economic and constructive viability of the project. The main challenge consisted of precisely defining and measuring civil works and critical infrastructure installations, aligning with the demanding requirements of the customer and the end customer, and ensuring their compatibility with a mostly renewable energy supply and with a two-phase execution.

The project will make a decisive contribution to strengthening and ensuring the supply of drinking water in the Casablanca-Settat region, increasing its resilience to climate change. In addition, it will allow the irrigation of approximately 5,000 agricultural hectares in the Azemmour-Bir Jdid area, boosting regional socio-economic development and reducing pressure on continental water resources.
